Youth Leadership Council

Family Integrity Project’s Youth Leadership Council had an amazing beachside meeting this month, where teens and young adults stepped into new leadership roles and shared thoughtful ideas on advocacy and community change. Their voices, insight, and commitment continue to inspire us each year.

Young adults who spend time in the care of the Department of Children and Families may qualify for additional benefits after turning 18. Extended Foster Care (EFC) and Post Secondary Education Services and Support (PESS) are two programs that provide young adults with the support they need as they transition to adulthood. Specialized case managers help young adults apply for and maintain eligibility for these programs.

If you’re interested in supporting our independent living or pre-independent living youth, please reach out—we’d love to connect with you.
